even though...

fall is upon us, and as we start to search through our closet to find longer sleaves for early morning rides; i wanted to give a 'product review' on the summer jerseys that i've been wearing this year.

first...i love full zip jerseys. so i picked up a couple this year.

to begin with...

i picked up a couple of castelli jerseys.

this is the cambio...

great fit. feels snug without being constrictive. soft. plus this little bonus that i didn't know about till i opened it up...

a little pocket for an ipod, with an opening for the earbuds to go up your back without getting in the way. nice.

this is their classico jersey. same great feel, i just really liked the color...

because of these two jerseys, i've become a castelli fan. both are soft; comfortable fit. i believe it is because of the dimples (like a golf ball) in the cut of the jersey, but i am able to really feel the wind wrap around me, and in some sense it makes me feel fast at any rate. but it is a unique feeling that i have never had with any other jersey. with that it also feels as if it is cooling me off. i never have to 'fiddle' around with the jersey when i ride. it stays put, without feeling tight.

speaking of staying put. here is the assos ss uno...

the back is a little longer and the front is a little shorter than the 'normal' cut on jerseys, however once you're in your riding position it sits where a jersey should. tighter feel than the castelli, but still comfortable. much more expensive, but that's assos. i'm not sure i'd pick up another ss jersey from them, but i love their bibs, and i'm interested in their fall line. their stuff just works, and well. i also have their winter skull cap, and that is amazing.

i just had to pick up a vicious cycles jersey. nothing fancy. normal cut. it's just a vicious. and i'm all about vicious...

lastly is the twin six jersey i picked up. again it's not a fancy jersey. nothing special. feels like a jersey does. they claim to be the 'alternative cycling apparel' company. but nothing alternative about them. unless you count the fact that after the first time i washed this jersey (i do not put my cycling wear in the dryer, hang dry only) the seams on the back of the shoulders split. so now it's time to break out the kit, and thread. thanks guys. not picking up anything else by them.

again, they are not that 'alternative'. the only thing is, is their patterns. that's all.

so why did i pick up all these jersey this year? well, as this season started i was looking for jersey to wear, and realized that i didn't really have any due to dumping stuff off on ebay during the winter. oops.

so there is my two cents.

enjoy...

namaste...
