i picked up the frame set, and just moved all my parts over. i'm holding on to the warrior, it's just in 'storage' right now.

i took the look out yesterday on a forty miler, and it handled great. light. quick. nimble. responsive. stiff. yet comfortable. i've ridden many a carbon bike, but none as smooth as this. i'm really impressed with this bike. i really like it.

the question may come up...why? well i'm under the new philosophy to take advantage of certain 'perks' that are available to me right now. so that is what i'm doing.

enjoy the ride, and keep the chain line straight

hitting the

trail with the i.f. fixie style.

i was heading over to my sister-in-law's new place in lakewood, and i decided to ride over from home on the fixie. getting to lakewood is not an easy task, by any means; either by car or bike. so i headed west on the road till i was able to drop down into the metroparks. and i mean drop. there is a long twisting descent down into the park system. and i love zipping down there taking up the whole road, and pissing off cars; because i know i'm going over the speed limit. however on the fixed this wasn't an option.

i slowed the pedaling down quite a bit, made my legs work; even more. i even skidded some to slow down even more. however i didn't want to tap the brakes, and i didn't. so i was happy about that. i'm trying not to use the brakes as all. to see if i am able to get down to using no brakes on the fixed. anyway, as i came down to the bottom of the hill i let it rip.

as i hit the parks i took it off road into some trails.

action shot...

and as i started out the realization hit quick about pedal set up. mashing over logs with my pedals; instead of going over them, and clearing them. new feeling. couldn't make this one though...

just trying to keep the chain line straight...

just did a little off road, and then kept on the street. i really didn't want the bag on my back catching any trees. coming out of the parks is a decent hill, and i just put my hands in the drops, stood up, powered the bike back and forth up the hill, and kicked ass.

got to love the fixed.
